Accountability among equals
Housemates hold each other to the standard — because every man here is working on the same commitment, at the same time.

Brotherhood at Next Phase
At our sober living home in Tarzana, peer accountability means committing to a common purpose together — finding real connection, real brotherhood, and a community of men building recovery side by side. For men across Los Angeles and the surrounding areas.
01
A common purpose
Everyone under the roof is working toward the same goal: staying sober, building a life, and moving forward. That shared purpose is what turns a group of men in a house into a team. Recovery stops being a private fight and becomes something the whole house carries together — one commitment, held by everyone.
02
Real connection
Addiction thrives in isolation — it grows in the spaces where no one really knows you. Connection is what starves it. At Next Phase, connection isn't a program feature; it's the daily life of the house. Meals shared, conversations in the kitchen, time by the pool, hard evenings sat through with someone. This is where recovery takes root.
03
Peer accountability
Accountability between peers hits differently than a rule on paper. Housemates notice when you're off. They ask, they check in, and they hold the line because they're working on the same things you are. Clear expectations and mutual respect make it possible to be honest here — and honesty is what keeps recovery moving.
04
Brotherhood that lasts
We're building more than a sober environment — we're building a community of men moving forward together. The friendships formed in this phase of recovery tend to outlast the house itself: a group of men who learned to be honest, to show up, and to carry each other through.

What holds it together
“The opposite of addiction is connection.”
It's a saying you'll hear in recovery for a reason. Men don't get sober alone, and they don't stay sober alone. At Next Phase, connection is built into the everyday — through shared meals, shared work, shared accountability, and a house where someone notices when you're struggling and sits with you until it passes.
How it fits together
Housemates hold each other to the standard — because every man here is working on the same commitment, at the same time.
Shared meals, shared work, shared evenings. Isolation is where relapse finds its opening — connection is how we close it.
A common purpose makes the hard days lighter. At Next Phase, recovery is something men commit to together.

Most of us tried that. Isolation is where addiction grows; community is where recovery does. You'll still have your own path — you just won't have to walk it alone.
Yes — the house comes together regularly to check in, work through issues, and keep everyone pointed in the same direction. It's accountability you can feel.
