Routine that sticks
Structure built into the day — meals, chores, meetings, and a rhythm that carries you when motivation doesn't.

Life at Next Phase
At our sober living home in Tarzana, we help men rebuild the life skills recovery runs on — daily routine, work, money, and a real plan for what's next. Everything you need to stabilize, get well, and find your own path. For men across Los Angeles and the surrounding areas.
01
Daily rhythm
Early recovery lives and dies by routine. At Next Phase, life skills start with the ordinary structure most people take for granted — waking up with the house, meals shared with the men you live with, chores, gym time, meetings, and a day that has shape. When the week has a spine, recovery stops being something you white-knuckle and becomes something you simply live.
02
Employment readiness
Work is one of the strongest anchors in recovery. We help residents get ready for it — thinking through what they want to do, preparing a resume, getting interview-ready, and building the confidence to walk in and earn the job. Whether it's a first job in a long time or the next step of a career, getting back to work is part of the plan, not an afterthought.
03
Money management
Getting sober means learning to run a life again, and money is where most of that happens. Residents learn to budget for their share of the house, pay what's owed on time, save toward what's next, and build the financial habits that make independence possible. Small, boring, and completely life-changing.
04
Planning ahead
Recovery needs a direction. Working with the house's case management, every resident builds a plan — treatment steps, meeting routines, work goals, family repair, and the milestones that mark real progress. A plan turns early recovery from surviving the day into building something, one week at a time.

Why it matters
Anyone can say they want a different life. The difference is the plan — and the habits that carry it when things get hard. Life skills and planning turn a good intention into a week you can actually live: a routine that holds, a job to show up for, money that behaves, and goals that move forward while you're busy doing the work.

Questions, answered
The practical stuff recovery runs on — budgeting, employment readiness, daily routine, cooking, planning, and follow-through. Learn it, live it, then keep it.
Yes. Through case management and life skills planning, we help with employment readiness — resumes, applications, interview preparation, and the routine that makes holding a job possible.
That's more common than you'd think, and nothing to be embarrassed about. Addiction interrupts life; sober living is where you pick the thread back up, step by step.
Every skill is aimed at independence. The plan you build here — money, work, routine, housing — is the one you carry out the door with you.
